Class A Delivery Drivers

Job TitleFood and Food Service Delivery DriversJob DescriptionFood and food service delivery drivers fulfilled a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers! Primary responsibilities include:Performing all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.Reporting all safety issues and/or repairs required. Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.Immediately reporting all safety hazards. Inspecting trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.Performing count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.Checking and completing in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.Moving tractor to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer as needed.Driving to and delivering customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.Unloading products from the trailer, transporting items into designated customer storage areas.Performing damage control checks on items, scanning, and contacting supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.Verifying delivery of items with customer and obtaining proper signatures. Collecting money (cash or checks) where required. Loading customer returns onto trailer and securing trailer doors.Ensuring that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.Unloading damaged goods and customer returns and bringing to the driver check-in and completing necessary paperwork. Unloading all equipment, materials, and removing trash from trailers as required.Completing daily record of hours of service and entering in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.Performing general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keeping trailers clear and clean as required.
