DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This role is responsible for the solution design of common enterprise technical services, platforms, and tools used by delivery teams across all lines of business. The ideal candidate will work independently within a team environment, taking ownership of project meetings, requirements gathering, design, and development while partnering with a global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve the developer experience by making it easier to deliver solutions while managing work efficiently and with the right controls.
• Advance technology platforms through innovation and solution design.
• Reduce risk and improve quality across the technology portfolio by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy.
• Design, develop, and partner with nearshore and offshore teammates in a matrix environment.
• Utilize a strong working knowledge of DevOps, PowerShell, database,.NET technologies, or Java/J2EE.
• Exhibit excellent software design, build, test, and documentation skills.
• Handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Broad experience designing solutions across varied software development platforms and environments including Linux, Windows, Java,.Net, Python, and Javascript.
• Technical expertise with DevOps automation and enablement technologies including Jenkins, Ansible/Tower, Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, SonarQube, GitHub, and Harness.
• Design and/or development experience with complex, integrated, high-volume applications for resiliency and performance.
• Knowledge of security aspects of integrated system design and associated protocols such as AAA, token-based authentication (OAuth/oIDC), and encryption.
• Ability to perform hands-on proof-of-concept work to assess the applicability of technology and patterns.
• Process expertise across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, build, test, deploy, release, and operate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production-level experience with microservices/SOA enabling tools such as API Management, Kubernetes/Docker, and service gateways/meshes.
• Experience with agile methodologies, routines, and tools.
• Technical experience with web application UI frameworks such as Angular or React.
