About the Position

Position Summary

Lahey Clinic is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract. The RN will provide care to critically ill patients and may float between the ICU and PCU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor patients closely and recognize changes in condition, responding promptly to emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and accurately document findings in EPIC .
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other critical patient parameters.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient status effectively during handoffs.
• Provide care for patients requiring complex ICU-level interventions.
• Float to the PCU as needed and provide appropriate patient care based on unit requirements.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS standards while delivering safe, evidence-based patient care.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

✅ 2–5 years of ICU experience
✅ MA RN License – Active & Current
✅ BLS & ACLS Required
✅ EPIC experience required
✅ Trauma Level I experience preferred
✅ Trauma Level II experience may be considered
✅ Previous travel experience preferred
✅ Will float to ICU & PCU as needed
