Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

Provides specialized patient care before, during, and after EPS procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Supports various technical positions within the EP lab while educating patients on procedural processes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer moderate sedation under the supervision of the EP Physician to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.
  
  
• 
  Cross-train in EMTI Admit/Recovery, device, and ablation lab technical roles.
  
  
• 
  Participate in materials management and clinical research activities.
  
  
• 
  Support new staff orientation and ongoing team education.
  
  
• 
  Document care activities accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid NJ State RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Possess 2 to 3 years of Critical Care nursing or 3 to 5 years of Cardiac nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Show proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
  
  
• 
  Preferred: Certification in CCRN, RCES, or RCIS and experience with moderate sedation and IABP.
