- Carry out small fabrication duties such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal parts as needed.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect welds and finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Follow all plant safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as ear plugs and respirators.
- Work effectively within a large manufacturing facility, coordinating with team members and other departments to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety, productivity, and equipment reliability.
- Adapt to evolving processes and equipment as the facility introduces more automation and robotic welding capabilities.

- Strong understanding of welding safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment for extended periods.
- Capability to stand, move, and perform repetitive welding and fabrication tasks throughout the shift.
- Willingness and ability to be clean shaven around the chin and mustache area to pass respirator fit testing, while maintaining sideburns if desired.
- Reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts and production demands, including extended days when required.

- Comfort working in a large-scale trailer manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds and assemblies.
- Ability to collaborate with a production team in a fast-paced setting.
Employees benefit from a modernizing manufacturing environment that is actively investing in automation and upgraded equipment, including opportunities to move into robotic welding. The role offers clear paths for advancement through multiple welder levels and supports long-term career growth. Schedules feature four 10-hour shifts with additional optional hours, providing a balance of consistent work and flexibility. Team members enjoy a culture that values skill development, promotes from within, and offers strong earning potential through shift premiums and ongoing opportunities for overtime.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a very large trailer manufacturing facility that is not climate controlled, meaning it tends to be cool in the winter and hot in the summer. The environment is loud, and ear plugs are required at all times in designated areas. Multiple shifts are available: first shift runs approximately 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., second shift runs approximately 4:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift runs approximately 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For first and second shift, employees should expect half or full days on Fridays, while Saturday work is voluntary. The facility uses welding and fabrication equipment, with increasing levels of automation and robotic welding. The dress code requires jeans, a work-appropriate t-shirt, and steel-toe shoes. Steel-toe footwear is mandatory; individuals who arrive without steel-toe shoes will be sent home and must delay their start date. Employees must be clean shaven around the chin and mustache area to pass respirator testing, although sideburns are allowed.
