Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians
• Position and instruct patients prior to examinations to obtain quality images
• Adjust x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph
• Verify patient identifiers and adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Maintain imaging records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff

Requirements

• Proficient in performing diagnostic radiographic examinations and patient positioning
• Ability to interpret physician orders and execute radiographic procedures accordingly
• Knowledge of adjusting exposure factors (voltage, current, exposure time) to obtain diagnostic-quality images
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting and collaborating with a care team
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
