Reports to : Operations Manager

Shifts: 2nd or Weekend shift, includes a $2.25/hour shift differential

- 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4 PM - 2:30 PM

- Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

CNC Operator - All Levels:represents an entry level position through an advanced level. The CNC Operator will continue to develop technical skills in their assigned areas, further their growth as team contributors, and begin using their experience and technical abilities to demonstrate leadership characteristics The position requires hands-on experience and growing proficiency of EXALTA's most complicated processes. This position is critical in helping EXALTA maximize the number of patients served while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

As a CNC Operator, you'll help manufacture precision components used in advanced medical technology.

Your work may include:

• Operating CNC Milling, Swiss Turning, & Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
• Producing parts following engineering specifications
• Setting up fixtures, tools, and materials
• Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Performing routine machine maintenance
• Maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment
• Collaborating with teammates to improve processes and quality

CNC Operator 1 - Entry Level

• Operates a limited number of machines
• Performs basic inspections
• Learn machining processes and quality standards
• Pay band: $18.80-$25.44/hour

Requirements for a Level 1:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in or completion of the NMU CNC Certificationprogram or 1 year of equivalent work experience preferred

CNC Operator 2: Intermediate

Build your technical skills and expand machine expertise.

• Operates multiple machine types
• Performs basic set-ups
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Verify machining efficiency and part quality
• Assist in training and team support
• Pay band: $19.98-$27.03/hour

Requirements for a Level 2:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in or completion of the NMU CNC Certificationprogram or 2-5 years of equivalent work experience preferred

CNC Operator 3: Advanced

Set the example and help lead others on the manufacturing floor.

• Perform increasingly complex setups
• Operates multiple machines across departments
• Assist in training and mentoring teammates
• Pay band: $23.20-$34.80/hour

Requirements for a Level 3:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of CNC Machining or equivalent experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Technical Competencies

• CNC skills (shop math, print reading, locating prints)
• Intermediate mathematics (manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes, and spaces)
• Intermediate hand tools (safety and appropriately use hammers, screwdrivers, hacksaws, and other hand tools)
• Computer skills (Standard Works, following SOP's, navigating One Drive/Sharepoint, Propel)
• Fundamental or basic understanding of geometric and dimensional tolerancing (GD&T)
• Basic to Advanced inspection techniques
• Basic to Advanced ERP knowledge/fundamentals (SAP, Epicor, or similar)
• Equipment selection and maintenance knowledge
• Beginning computer-aided manufacturing, level 3 only (beginning to understand computer-assisted design programs (e.g. CAD, CAM) and processes/machines (e.g. 5-axis machining, CNC machines, mills, and lathes)).
