This executive leadership role partners closely with Underwriting, Finance, Reserving, Enterprise Risk Management, and Executive Leadership to drive profitable growth, underwriting performance, pricing sophistication, and portfolio optimization aligned with Everest’s strategic and financial objectives.The successful candidate will combine deep actuarial and technical pricingexpertise with strong commercial acumen, transformational leadership, and acollaborative operating style. This individual will lead the continued advancement of Everest’s pricing capabilities through modern actuarial methodologies, data science, predictive analytics, and scalable pricing infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a strategic partner to underwriting and executive leadership in driving profitable growth, portfolio optimization, and achievement of financial objectivesShape and execute the North America pricing strategy across Wholesale & Specialty businessesLead development and implementation of product and portfolio pricing strategies through close partnership with underwriting leadershipPartner with executive leadership to optimize portfolio composition and risk-adjusted returns aligned to Everest’s strategic and capital objectivesProvide strategic actuarial insight and influence on underwriting appetite, business planning, and growth initiativesLead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of pricing governance frameworks, methodologies, controls, and best practices across Everest InsuranceLead severity, frequency, and exposure studies to evaluate rate adequacy, claims inflation, emerging portfolio trends, and underwriting performance across the North America platformLead portfolio profitability diagnostics and performance analytics to identify opportunities for underwriting, pricing, and capital optimizationLead the advancement of pricing analytics capabilities through modern actuarial, predictive analytics, data science, and AI-enabled techniquesEnsure development, calibration, enhancement, and governance of pricing models aligned with Everest return on equity targets and benchmark pricing expectationsDrive modernization of pricing infrastructure, data environments, tools, and underwriting workflow integrationSupport transactional pricing and analysis of large and complex risksBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing organization through talent acquisition, mentoring, succession planning, and career developmentFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvementAct as a transformational leader and agent of change driving modernization and continuous evolution of pricing capabilitiesSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesDemonstrated track record of successful executive leadership with examples of influencing business strategy and direction at senior levelsStrong commercial acumen and proven ability to collaborate effectively across underwriting, claims, finance, enterprise risk, product development, and executive managementDeep technical expertise in commercial lines pricing, including predictive analytics, modern pricing methodologies, portfolio analytics, and data-driven pricing techniquesExpertise across a broad range of insurance and reinsurance products, particularly within specialty and wholesale marketsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholdersAdvanced technology and systems knowledge, including experience embedding pricing models and analytics within underwriting workflow systemsGrowth mindset with demonstrated adaptability, curiosity, and continuous learning orientationEducation & ExperienceCredentialed Actuary; Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) preferredBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline preferredMinimum 12 years of actuarial pricing and leadership experience within commercial insuranceSignificant experience in specialty and wholesale insurance markets strongly preferredDemonstrated experience leading pricing transformation, modernization, or advanced analytics initiatives preferredProficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and modern analytical/data visualization tools preferredThe base salary range for this position is $231,000 - $300,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
