Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Comfort evaluating and implementing individualized intervention strategies for elementary-aged students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with families and education staff
- Ability to begin as soon as possible and commit to a part-time contract schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services two days per week to students in elementary grades
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s educational goals
- Engage in IEP/504 meetings, contribute to student planning, and support with accommodations
- Utilize creative problem-solving and adaptation strategies to enhance access to learning
