We are seeking an exceptional Director-level AI Product leader to define and own the end-to-end AI product strategy for a specific business line — whether that is Payments, Liquidity & Cash Management. This is a commercially-driven, business-first role where AI is the tool and measurable business outcomes are the mission.This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial execution. You will act as the leader for your business line's AI agenda — owning the roadmap, the business case, the P&L impact, and the go-to-market strategy from concept through commercialization.What Makes This Role DistinctUnlike a platform or engineering-focused AI role, this position is defined by:Deep ownership of a business line's AI agenda.Direct client co-creation and external engagement to validate and shape AI solutionsA mandate to drive commercial outcomes — revenue, cost savings, and competitive differentiation — not just technology deliveryLeading a matrixed, global product team across multiple regions, functions, and regulatory environmentsKey Responsibilities:AI Strategy & Commercial OwnershipDefine and own the global AI product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for your assigned business line, aligned to enterprise AI standards and business objectivesTranslate business challenges, client needs, and market dynamics into a prioritised, commercially-sound AI use case pipelineBuild and defend sophisticated business cases with full P&L accountability — evaluating every AI initiative by ROI, revenue potential, cost impact, and strategic fitSet the commercial agenda: determine where to place strategic bets, how to sequence investments, and how to measure successClient-Facing AI Product DevelopmentLead the design and delivery of AI-powered products that create tangible, measurable value for clients — from intelligent payment orchestration and predictive receivables to AI-enhanced advisory solutionsEngage directly with enterprise clients to understand their pain points, co-create solutions, and validate products at every stage of the lifecycleTranslate complex client requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade AI products that can be commercialised and grown globallyGo-to-Market & ScalingOwn the full product lifecycle from initial business case and client discovery through to go-to-market strategy, launch, and post-launch commercial iterationLead the geographic expansion of AI capabilities across 30+ markets, adapting solutions to local regulatory requirements while maintaining global design consistencyChampion AI adoption internally — identifying, prioritising, and deploying tools that improve operational efficiency and team productivity across the business lineResponsible AI & GovernanceEnsure all AI capabilities are built in line with Citi's enterprise risk standards — establishing model risk governance, data lineage, explainability standards, and regulatory compliance controlsProactively partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Model Risk to navigate the regulatory landscape from day oneSenior Stakeholder LeadershipCultivate deep partnerships across Sales, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Legal to drive alignment and consensus on the AI strategyServe as the authoritative voice for your business line's AI agenda with senior leadership, clients, and external partnersWho We're Looking ForRequired12+ years of product management or product leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale, technology-led productsProven experience building, launching, and scaling AI/ML-powered products from concept through commercialisation, ideally in financial services or FinTechDemonstrated P&L ownership or direct accountability for a key business metric significantly improved through product launches5+ years of direct or indirect external client-facing experience; comfortable co-creating and validating products with enterprise clientsDeep domain expertise in at least one financial services vertical (Payments, Transaction Banking, LMS)Deep understanding of AI concepts, model risk management, responsible AI frameworks, and enterprise governance requirementsExceptional stakeholder management skills — ability to build consensus, influence without authority, and operate effectively in a matrixed global organisationOutstanding communication skills;
