Description: This position is for a travel RN specialized in telemetry nursing. The unit manages patients needing cardiac monitoring and related care. The nursing staff consists of both day and night shifts with a dedicated charge nurse. The patient ratios are approximately 4 to 5 patients per nurse during both day and night shifts. Essential equipment used on the unit includes lifts, dynamap, and cardiac monitoring equipment. Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is highly preferred. Typical procedures performed on this unit include the management of cardiac drips and cardiac catheters. Additional responsibilities may include chest tube management, wound care, and administration of TPN/lipids. The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude towards staff and providers. Recent investments in new lift equipment and mobile technology enhance the work environment. Self-scheduling options are available to provide flexibility in work hours.
