Custodian 2nd Shift SG (PT)

Custodian 2nd Shift (PT) – Sugar Grove Campus Join Waubonsee Community College as a Custodian in the 2nd Shift. This part‑time role supports daily operations on campus buildings. Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain cleanliness of facilities on campus in a manner that presents the best image of the college at all times. Inspect and monitor assigned building(s), check for cleanliness, restock restrooms, and handle minor emergencies to ensure safety and cleanliness. Clean interior glass surfaces at least twice a month in all buildings or as required. Assist in furniture moving or set‑ups as directed. Monitor custodial supply inventory, request additional stock as required, and verify all inventory is kept in a neat and orderly manner within your assigned area. Identify and report maintenance problems on campus to the Shift Lead Custodian, Facilities Services Supervisor, and/or the Director of Buildings, Grounds and Events. Perform snow removal as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of successful employment in a custodial position preferred. Physical ability to lift 35 pounds individually required. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well independently.
