Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Position

This position will work at United Hospital and ANW Eden Prairie Cardiac Rehabilitation.

Implements programs to modify cardiovascular risk factors through exercise training, multidisciplinary education and counseling for individuals with known cardiac disease and for their families. Assists cardiac individuals in attaining an optimal level of physical, psychosocial and vocational functioning. Will provide coverage for inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehab programs across several programs in the twin cities metro area.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Assesses physical condition of patient and evaluate patient for graded exercise.
• Designs and implements individualized exercise or activity plans for each assigned patient.
• Monitors progress during exercise sessions.
• Consults/collaborates with physicians and other health professionals regarding patient care, cardiac rehab education and program development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise physiology, nursing, or occupational therapy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Exercise physiology, nursing, or occupational therapy
• 1 year experience in cardiac rehabilitation (working inpatient and outpatient settings preferred)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse-MN Board of Nursing required if registered nurse upon hire
• Certified/Registered Exercise Physiologist-Applicable associated licensure or certification preferred
• Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ? Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association ? Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Red Cross ? Allina in-house ACLS training (within 90 days of hire)

Physical Demands:

• Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range: $32.92 to $45.12 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
