Youth Minister

ABOUT THE ROLEAs our Youth Minister, you'll lead, disciple, and build authentic relationships with our middle and high school students. You'll create a place where teenagers feel known and loved, develop the next generation of student leaders, and partner with parents and our ministry team to help students build a lasting faith.WHAT YOU'LL DOLead weekly youth services and a mid-week Life Group for middle and high school studentsDevelop and deliver biblically sound, age-appropriate teaching that helps students grow spirituallyBuild genuine, consistent relationships with students through presence, mentorship, and pastoral careIdentify, mentor, and develop student leaders within the youth ministryRecruit, train, and lead a team of adult volunteers who support student ministriesPartner with parents and guardians to support students' spiritual growth at homePlan and lead youth events, retreats, and our annual summer campManage the youth ministry calendar, communications, and budgetCollaborate with our pastoral and ministry team to help shape the culture and direction of student ministries at Image ChurchWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR2+ years of youth or student ministry experience (paid or volunteer); an equivalent combination of ministry training and experience will also be consideredA genuine love for teenagers and a gift for building trust with students and familiesStrong communication and teaching abilityA self-starter who also thrives working within a growing teamComfortable with everyday ministry tools like Planning CenterA growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Image Church's mission, vision, and Statement of FaithCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe figures below are a recommended starting point, benchmarked against national and Texas youth ministry compensation data not a final offer. Image Church should confirm budget, board approval, and internal pay equity before this posting goes external.Base Salary: $24/hourSchedule: Approximately 25 hours/week; Mondays offHousing Allowance: Negotiable, based on candidate need and budget approvalContinuing Education: Church-funded attendance at an annual team conference, with openness to funding additional individual conferencesEquipment: Laptop and necessary software subscriptions provided (church property)Ministry Handoff: Inherits an established group of 4060 students, with a full handoff from the current children's ministry leadCurriculum: Provided, no need to build teaching content from scratchSummer Retreat: Week-long summer retreat included; attendance requiredOUR COMMITMENT TO STUDENT SAFETYBecause this role works directly with children and students, all candidates must satisfactorily complete a background check and any required child-safety training as a condition of employment.
