The Head Teacher role is one that any teacher should be proud of as they cultivate an environment that stimulates the minds and grows a love of learning in future leaders. Children’s House looking to hire positive and reliable individuals who have a love of teaching and are adaptable, caring, and team-oriented. Montessori experience and certification are required. Our full‑time compensation package includes employee contribution benefits such as health, PTO, a competitive rate of pay, and on‑going professional development. Salary is based on an average of a 40‑hour work week. Responsibilities Maintain safety and general tidiness and cleanliness of the classroom, disinfecting materials and supplies. Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children. Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children. Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self‑esteem. Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments. Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts, etc.) Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times. Write monthly class newsletters and individual progress reports twice per school year. Create a warm, friendly, supportive, and open relationship with parents/guardians through daily communication and demonstrated availability. Skills Excellent communication and instructional skills. Great understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods. Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms. Ability to act as mediator between children. Friendly and reliable. Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen. BSc/BA in education or relevant field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
