Scientist - LCMS - Chromatography

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a scientist to perform advanced analytical testing and analysis of pharmaceutical compounds using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and related techniques. The role involves sample preparation, instrumentation maintenance, data interpretation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fully onsite Richmond, Virginia laboratory.

Responsibilities

Perform complex sample preparation and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical compounds in various formulations
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including LCMS systems
Review, interpret, and analyze data for compliance with GLP standards and client criteria
Train and provide technical support to laboratory team members on methods and instrumentation
Communicate project status to project leaders and coordinate with functional groups

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related field
2+ years of relevant analytical laboratory experience
Proficiency with HPLC, GC, MS, or related chromatography techniques
Strong data interpretation and technical writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot analytical problems
Valid U.S. work authorization without sponsorship requirement
