Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout examinations by clearly communicating each step of the process
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-resolution diagnostic images
• Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, addressing any issues promptly
• Thoroughly document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical system
• Continuously update knowledge of advancements in ultrasound imaging technologies and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is advantageous

Skills Needed
