Assistant Construction Superintendent

The Assistant Construction Superintendent aids in the management of a single site. The Assistant Construction Superintendent helps to ensure timely and quality completion of work by managing laborers, subcontractors and third parties as well as a willingness to assist in other projects assigned by the Construction Project Manager. This position reports to the Construction Superintendent on a project-by-project basis. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in managing day to day field operations of construction sites and project components. Oversee subcontractors and laborers to ensure they are doing the right work, performing at a high quality, and working within their scope. Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors, subcontractors, inspectors and third parties. Support the Construction Superintendent. Execute construction work at the site when required. Aid in other projects at the direction of the Construction Superintendent. Construction Project Managers or Senior Construction Project Managers. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Familiarity with construction processes, project lifecycle, and industry standards. OSHA or other safety training certifications preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in construction management software and tools preferred.
