About the Unit

Our Pediatric practice is a department located within our primary health service line. We care for a wide range of pediatric patients ages birth to 18. We see patients for their well-child visits, acute concerns and many vaccinations. Our office consists of 6 providers, including 3 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers, all collaborating closely to deliver exceptional, compassionate care to a diverse population of patients. Because of the specialized nature of our practice, we are seeking a motivated, quick-learning Medical Assistant who is enthusiastic about pediatric patients and eager to grow in a dynamic clinical environment.

Hours of work: 8 am to 4 pm / 8 am to 7 pm / 8 am to 5 pm / 7 am to 5 pm

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
