Role Description This full-time Certified Medical Assistant role is on-site in Winston-Salem. The Certified Medical Assistant will support clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, updating patient histories, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and supporting the front desk as needed. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, handling basic clinical documentation, and ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked and organized. The Certified Medical Assistant will provide compassionate patient care, reinforce care plans and instructions, and collaborate with the clinical team to promote a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting, including vital signs, rooming patients, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to support accurate communication and documentation in a primary care setting. Experience working in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, telephone etiquette, front desk support, and phlebotomy. Commitment to high-quality Patient Care, with a focus on empathy, professionalism, and patient education. Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records with accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable regulations. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse populations and a multidisciplinary team. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
