CDL Driver Trainee

Job Title Customer Delivery Specialist Trainee Application Instructions Current PBV employees should log in to Workday to apply. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct pre‑post‑trip inspections on trucks per DOT requirements and report issues to the Fleet department. Safely drive and maneuver a truck with a gross vehicle weight under or over 26,000pounds. Service scheduled customers by the end of shift according to PBV and customer standards. Deliver product to stores and execute all promotions. Unload, merchandise, and rotate product in all accounts to PBV and customer standards. Establish positive relationships with primary contacts at each account. Obtain required signatures, store stamps, or otherwise ensure accurate settlement of invoices at the end of the day. Communicate issues to appropriate store personnel and management. Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations and company rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Must pass a DOT physical prior to the first day of employment. Must obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and a CDL license by 45 business days from hire date if not currently held. Positive attitude; detail oriented. Basic financial calculations skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Strong focus on customer satisfaction. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Self‑starter with excellent follow‑up skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Meet PBV driving qualifications. Work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks. Essential Mental and Physical Functions Mental: Repetitive job requiring frequent, but not more than normal, mental or visual effort or alertness. Physical: Constantly (34%–66%) required to walk, stand, lift up to 56pounds and push/pull 300–2400pounds with a pallet jack; frequently (67%–100%) required to sit; occasionally (0%–33%) required to climb. Equipment Used Cars/trucks, handheld computer, pallet jacks, hand trucks, phone, calculator, and general office equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities None required. Language Skills Must be able to speak and read English.
