Developer Full Stack

Position Summary:The Developer Full-Stack performs development, testing and documentation of sophisticated web and mobile applications involving both front and backend components. This role involves significant research, analysis and architecture. The Full-Stack Developer develops and maintains innovation, scalable solutions which provide value to the business and provides operational support as required.Essential Responsibilities:Develop, design, code, debug and document web and mobile web interface applications in a variety of front-end software languages (e.g., Strong Javascript and solid skill in AngularJS 6 or higher) and back-end software languages (e.g., Strong Java skills, solid in Java 8 or higher)Understanding of a wide variety of middleware technologies including MQ, (REST), GRPC, and Web Sockets.Ability to create service responses in multiple formats including JSON, XML, and ProtobuffersDesign, write, and implement unit tests and end to end tests for UI/Javascript and JavaProvide input and guidance on development and architecture decisions; collaborate with other engineersAnalyze system specifications and create project estimatesParticipates in code reviews to insure high quality and consistent coding practicesPartners with data center operations and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployments, proper documentation and support for applicationsEnsure that JetBlue IT and business standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with Company policies and work practices are in line with all audit, security and regulatory requirementsEnsure continued accountability for product and services delivery within assigned business units and across IT Ensure quality and performance standards are met across omnichannel customer experiences including kiosks, mobile, and web platforms.Partner with other IT Managers to ensure alignment and drive efficiencies Provide direct or indirect oversight of delivery teams for applicable portfolio initiatives Take a significant role in leading and coaching direct team and/or indirect Crewmembers to support the engagement, growth and development of Succession plan for the IT department Other duties as assignedMinimum Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.Three (3) years in a full-stack role, with experience in coding both Javascript-based applications and backend applications, as well as optimizing the communication middleware protocolExperience with RESTful services, JSON, and SOAP-based servicesExperience using GitDemonstrated ability to code complex full-stack designs in a modular, well architected manner; experience with responsive/adaptive design, and efficient middleware communicationAvailable for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%) In possession of valid travel documents and the ability to travel in and out of the United States Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short noticeAble to pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipPreferred Experience and QualificationsOne (1) year in AngularJS and some experience with AngularJS 6 or higher, as well as One (1) year in Java, with knowledge of Java 8 and above, as well as Java Reactive Extensions. (Sedentary)Compensation:The base pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $128,600.00 per year.
