Production Operator

Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company is hiring a Production Operator for our Austin, TX facility. In this role you will be responsible to effectively build the products manufactured by Varian to the required quality standards. What You Will Do Responsible for manufacturing products in accordance with the relevant manufacturing procedures and relevant quality standards. Participate in continuous improvement programs or team projects to enhance our quality, customer service and cost. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with workmanship standards and operating procedures. Adhere to procedures in relation to production methods, completion of documentation, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety requirements. Provide cross training with other employees. Contribute as part of a team in achieving the line core metrics. In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable: Assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the Varian Quality Policy. Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System. What You Will Have Typical Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 - 3 years of related experience preferred. Strong teaming skills. Basic understanding of material logistics. Basic understanding of several business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement. Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
