Sr. Full Stack Developer - REST API

A well known brand and apparel company is seeking a Full Stack Developer in the Greater Seattle Area.
You will build and maintain web features and the REST APIs that power them. You will partner with frontend and backend engineers to deliver reliable, scalable services. You will design REST endpoints, implement business logic, and integrate with internal systems.
You will build UI components in React or NextJS and connect them to backend services. You will optimize API performance and improve user experience through efficient data access. You will troubleshoot issues across the stack using logs, metrics, and debugging tools.
GraphQL experience is a big plus. It will help as the team expands API capabilities and improves developer experience.
You will write and maintain API documentation and participate in code reviews. You will contribute to best practices for testing, deployments, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong full stack development experience shipping production web applications
Strong REST API design and development experience using Node.js
Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills
Experience with backend frameworks such as Express, Fastify, or NestJS
Strong understanding of status codes, pagination, and rate limiting
Experience with authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OIDC, or JWT
Experience building user facing features with React or NextJS
Familiarity with frontend state management patterns
Strong debugging skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team
Strong communication with technical and non technical stakeholders
Experience designing integration solutions for complex domain areas; track record of driving integration implementation decisions across teams within architectural standards
Expertise with Server Side Rendering (SSR) Apps built on React, JavaScript, Node.js, Webpack and Next.js stack


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

GraphQL experience including schema design and resolver patterns
Apollo or Relay experience
Experience with API documentation using OpenAPI and Swagger
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Experience with caching and performance optimization
Experience with microservices and event driven systems
