Role Description The Habitat Restoration Technician is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Everett, WA, focused on implementing field projects that improve stream and riparian habitats. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting with site assessments, preparing and maintaining restoration areas, and performing tasks such as planting native vegetation, removing invasive species, and stabilizing stream banks. The technician will help with water damage mitigation and restoration activities, including erosion control, debris removal, and monitoring site conditions. Additional duties may include collecting basic field data, maintaining tools and equipment, following safety protocols, and communicating project status to supervisors and team members. This role involves regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires reliable attendance and teamwork. Qualifications Experience or training in restoration techniques for natural habitats. Knowledge of invasive species identification and removal methods. Strong communication skills for working with team members, volunteers, and partner organizations. Understanding of mitigation practices related to erosion control, habitat protection, and stream health. Ability to perform physical, outdoor work, including lifting, bending, and working on uneven terrain in various weather conditions. Basic familiarity with environmental restoration, ecology, or natural resource management; coursework or certification in related fields is beneficial. Reliability in following safety procedures and organizational guidelines, with attention to detail in field documentation.
