General Assembler

General Assembler Position

A growing manufacturing company in the Austin/Georgetown area is seeking reliable General Assemblers to support production of mechanical components and finished assemblies. This role will work in a manufacturing environment and assist with assembly, cleaning, testing, and preparation of parts and materials at assigned production stations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working with hand tools, able to follow work instructions, and willing to work in a fast-paced production environment. 1st Shift: 7:45 -5:00 pm or 2nd Shift 4:30 p.m. -1 a.m. CST

Responsibilities

• Assembling mechanical components and finished products at assigned production stations
• Using basic hand tools and/or power tools to attach, secure, or prepare parts
• Working with small parts, fittings, hoses, metal components, and related materials
• Cleaning and preparing components for production
• Attaching springs, hoses, fittings, fasteners, and other small components
• Assisting with basic testing, inspection, and quality checks
• Inspecting parts and finished assemblies for quality issues
• Following written and verbal work instructions
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Following all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Meeting production, quality, and attendance expectations

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred
• Ability to use basic hand tools and/or power tools
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes

Preferred Experience

• Experience in mechanical assembly, production assembly, or light industrial manufacturing
• Experience working with hand tools, small parts, fittings, hoses, or metal components
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment
• Basic quality inspection or testing experience is a plus

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing and production environment. Assemblers will work at designated stations and may be exposed to production equipment, tools, components, and standard manufacturing floor conditions. Safety procedures and PPE requirements must be followed at all times.
