If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role.Job DescriptionProvide technical and administrative direction related to the established Company, Material Management Plan and/or project policies and proceduresPerform periodic formal and documented functional reviews and audits of project Material Management executionPrepare and present Material Management-related indoctrination and training sessions to department or project personnelPrepare and issue relevant Material Management reportsResponsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and scheduleReview, analyze, and negotiate Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downsAdvocate the use of the Material Management knowledge management portals and communitiesMaintain effective client relationships through client service excellence in executionPrepare written or oral presentation materials in support of regional or business line proposal activitiesReview and action planning reports to appropriate persons for follow-up to support Fabrication or ConstructionMaintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, if supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and use safe work habitsTypically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedbackBasic Job RequirementsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (18) years if non-degreedAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholdersJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerOther Job RequirementsMaterial ManagementDrive and deliver strategies to the corporation and projects through the use of the Commercial Strategies groupEnsure that the Material Management team has access to the project Baseline, understands and aligns to the project Baseline, and executes and delivers to the project BaselineUnderstand the prime contract and the integration of flow down clauses to protect FluorDevelop man-hour estimates and understands the basic concept of trending hoursPurchasingReview the project scope of work and the prime contract to determine the Material Management requirements and flow downs to project procurement documents, plans, and procedures; issue flow down requirements to the Material Management teamManage the execution of all procurement activities on the project in compliance with the project Baseline and procedures, plans, budgets, and schedulesNegotiate and/or provide assistance in negotiation of large to complex equipment and bulk material packages to obtain best value for the ProjectPreferred QualificationsExperience in EPCM industry with capital projectsLump Sum and Module Fabrication experience preferredExperience with Fluor processes, procedures and systemsExperience in dealing with global vendors (outside US)Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)Primary experience is in the area of material managementExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent computer literacy and skillsExcellent leadership and decision-making skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
