Responsibilities include:

• Providing attentive 1:1 care to a designated student, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day
• Administering prescribed medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing any acute or chronic health concerns
• Creating and implementing individualized health plans in coordination with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
• Responding promptly to medical emergencies and offering first aid as needed
• Educating staff on best practices for health safety and participating in IEP meetings when appropriate
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all care provided, in compliance with confidentiality protocols
• Supporting student participation in classroom activities and school events

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois
• Experience in pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
• Strong critical thinking skills and the capacity to work independently
• Proficiency in health assessment and emergency response
• Clear communication and compassionate caregiving
• Adaptability and a positive attitude
