Groundskeeper/Maintenance AssistantLanessa Extended Care in Webster is hiring a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant to join our physical plant team!We are a 96-bed skilled nursing facility. Weekly pay up to $24 an hour.You maintain the grounds of the property, including mowing, weeding, etc., as well as assist in the physical plant department with maintenance needs.Education & Experience:High school diploma or its equivalent.Prior experience in groundskeeping required.General background in repair and maintenance preferred.Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee the upkeep of the property, including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, trash removal, etc.Ensure equipment is maintained and properly stored.Replace, repair, and purchase items according to facility policy and procedure.Maintain weather protection against cold, heat, fire and other hazards.Maintain all floors, walls, wall coverings, ceilings, etc. to keep the facility in excellent condition.Supervise outside contractors.Serve on-call for emergency and off-duty hours.Perform errands and tasks as required.Other tasks assigned by the managerial team.Specific Requirements:Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.Must be willing to spend a significant amount of time outdoors.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance areas.Must possess sufficient mechanical abilities to handle facility maintenance needs with little outside contract use.Benefits:Weekly PayHoliday & Overtime PayCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount Program401(k) with Employer MatchAvailable for Full-Time Staff:Employer-Paid Life InsuranceVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
