Position: Buyer
Location: Allan TX 75002 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 - 12 Months Contract Top 5 Must-have Skills
• Purchasing experience
• Planning experience
• Forecasting & inventory control management
• SAP and/or Oracle experience
• Strong Excel skills
Key Responsibilities
• Forecast and plan service parts via MRP system
• Maintain accurate materials and parts master data
• nalyze inventory levels, usage, leadtimes, and demand
• Daily review of backlog beyond automated system triggers
• Interface with internal supply planning teams for timely fulfillment
• Communicate parts availability, order status, shipping, and delivery details to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain reports in Tableau, SAP, and Excel
• Create purchase orders, stock transfer orders, and track orders
• Monitor service parts inventory against open purchase orders
• Prepare weekly KPI reports
• What Success Looks Like for the candidate(First 90-120 Days)
• Demonstrates strong purchasing and forecasting capability
• Quickly adapts to ERP workflows (SAP currently, Oracle in the future)
• Effectively manages Excelbased buyer/planner functions
• Contributes to stabilizing inventory and improving planning processes
Required Experience
• Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering preferred)
• 2-3 years in materials planning, purchasing, or repair parts expediting
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP for purchasing and inventory
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal)
• Excel expertise (analysis, reporting, pivot tables, etc.)
Nice to Have:
• Industry experience in repair operations or service parts
• Tableau experience
