OVERVIEW
- Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service
- Schedule/Reschedule appointments for patients according to established guidelines
- Create New Patients in computer and forward necessary paperwork to facilitate appointment when patient arrives
- Retrieve voicemail messages and route to appropriate staff
- Manage website email and portal requests
- Manage electronic patient correspondence with integrated messaging system
- Retrieve / manage electronic faxes through EMR system and route to appropriate staff
- Review signed HIPAA form for compliance
- Obtain / verify insurance eligibility prior to scheduling
- Shred confidential documents
- Assist office with administrative tasks as requested as time allows
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Good communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace, duties and office policies
- General computer knowledge with high level skills to adapt to office software
