The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to our students, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs. Deliver speech and language therapy to students individually and in group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student progress. Keep detailed records of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress. Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional advice and recommendations. Conduct screenings and provide consultation services when necessary. Stay updated with the latest developments in speech‑language pathology and apply best practices. Educate and support school staff on speech and language development issues. Qualifications Masters degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid Pennsylvania state license to practice Speech‑Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for Speech‑Language Pathologists. Strong knowledge of IDEA and other special education regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory. Required Licensure and Certifications Pennsylvania State License: Must possess and maintain a valid license to practice speech-language pathology in Pennsylvania. ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association. Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech‑Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
