Senior Litigation Paralegal

Job Description Provide direct support to our firm's lawyers, as well as mentor and train junior paralegals to ensure quality control and consistency across all deliverables, in the following functions: Case Management Collaborate with lawyers to manage and organize litigation cases from inception to conclusion. Maintain and update case files, including pleadings, discovery documents, correspondence, expert reports, and exhibits. Prepare and manage case timelines, calendars, and deadlines to ensure compliance. Coordinate with external parties, such as clients, witnesses, experts, vendors and opposing counsel, as necessary. Document Management Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and affidavits. Bluebook and cite check briefs and prepare tables of content and authorities. Assist with the preparation and filing of state and federal court documents, ensuring adherence to court rules and e-filing procedures. Organize and maintain electronic document databases, ensuring confidentiality and easy retrieval of documents. Discovery and Investigation Assist in the preparation and response to discovery requests, including document productions and interrogatories. Coordinate and manage document review processes, often involving large volumes of data. Draft memos, correspondence, and other research documents (from charts to research findings). Utilize automated eDiscovery review systems including Relativity, CaseMap/TimeMap, and West Case Notebook. Legal Research and Analysis Conduct legal research using various online and offline resources (including Westlaw, LEXISNEXIS, and PACER) to gather relevant information. Trial Support Assist lawyers in preparing for and attending trials, hearings, and depositions. Organize and prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and other trial-related materials. Provide on-site support during trials, including managing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and assisting with courtroom technology. Time Recording Enter time spent on tasks on a daily basis into the firm's practice management software system. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, competitive university preferred. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved school preferred. 5-7 years of professional paralegal experience required. Exceptional judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and project management experience. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with attorneys, junior paralegals, clients, experts, vendors, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a fast-paced environment. Impeccable organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Extensive experience supporting litigation in federal and state courts, completing complex projects and tasks without error. Effective listening, clarification of information when needed, and clear, timely communication regarding issues and project status to the project team and stakeholders. Excellent work ethic. Work Environment Available to work in the office 9:00 to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. (No remote work.) Available to work beyond regular hours when necessary. Available to travel as required, on short notice, to various courthouses or other locations in support of the firm’s clients. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 (non-exempt).
