Industrial Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Location: Syracuse, IN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Overview

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Syracuse, Indiana. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity on 1st shift focused on maintaining and improving production equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
Support production by maintaining equipment uptime and efficiency
Monitor control panels and automated systems
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Coordinate with contractors and order replacement parts as needed
Assist with process improvements and equipment upgrades
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within food manufacturing
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and safety standards
Welding or fabrication experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in an industrial environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience

Work Environment

Industrial setting with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations
Active role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and climbing
