Position Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive behavior support services to students in-district. The RBT will work collaboratively with BCBAs, teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. The Registered Behavior Technician will meet all the requirements of RBT certification. This is not an instructional support position, although the RBT may provide some instructional support to students as needed.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Skills are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include applying pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; applying assessment instruments; operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records; adhering to safety practices; administering first aid; and operating medical equipment utilized in school environment. Knowledge is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include providing health services in a school setting; state laws regarding sexually transmitted diseases; health standards and hazards; and stages of child development.
Ability is required to schedule activities and/or meetings; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include maintaining confidentiality; communicating with diverse groups; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; adhering to safety practices; and being attentive to detail. Responsibility:
Responsibilities include working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; tracking budget expenditures. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to impact the organization's services. Work Environment :
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 25% sitting, 50% walking, and 25% standing. The job is performed under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Minimum of high school diploma as well as formal training in theories of Applied Behavioral Analysis, or Behavioral Support Interventions and successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician training course and examination for certification. Prefer a minimum of 2 years previous experience working with students who require behavior support. Internal employees without a current RBT certification are eligible to apply and must complete any required certification training necessary within a specified timeframe. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Registered Behavior Technician certification, as evidenced by completion of the RBT training course and examination, as well as participation in the district provided crisis intervention training.

Position Summary:
The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive behavior support services to students in-district. The RBT will work collaboratively with BCBAs, teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. The Registered Behavior Technician will meet all the requirements of RBT certification. This is not an instructional support position, although the RBT may provide some instructional support to students as needed.
- This job reports to Building Principal, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and Assistant Superintendent of Special Services.
- This position is a Full Time (179 day, 7.5 hours per day) benefits eligible position.
- The salary range for this position is $28,448 - $38114 Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
- Understand and apply the basic principles of ABA in classroom settings as directed.
- Assess student needs and provide interventions to redirect behavior.
- Collect and submit data needed for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans. (BIP)
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans to affect behavior changes.
- Regularly review and remain well-versed in a multitude of BIPs in order to implement the plans and monitor plans for multiple students, at the same time.
- Provide verbal/written reports to the BCBA, specific to analysis of data and recommendations for modifications or revisions to BIPs.
- Model implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans for paraprofessionals and staff.
- When required, provide physical intervention for students demonstrating unsafe behaviors.
- Perform and document the district approved restraint and seclusion methods; as well as participate in yearly crisis intervention training provided by the district.
- Participate as a member of the school crisis team.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Maintain consistency of Behavioral Intervention Plans by communicating and providing input to teachers and other support staff
- Work with multiple students, wide variety of age ranges, as assigned by the administration, case manager, and/or BCBA, work at multiple sites during the school year.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, use stairs, get up and down from off the floor, all with ease.

- Ability to lead/model behavior support strategies for others.
- Ability to take and respond to direction of superiors.
- Ability to follow and practice policies related to proper procedures for restraint and seclusion.
- Remain physically fit in order to maintain capability to physically intervene when students are unsafe, and maintain physical requirements listed under essential duties.
- Must be flexible, creative, and problem solving oriented in approach.
