Description
  • Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric sectors utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice control, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create integrated care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress outside clinical sessions.
  • Engage with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal standards.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in the field with continuous education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for various age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to modify therapy techniques to suit different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.
