Entry-Level Laboratory Technician (Open to New Graduates)

Location: Orangeburg, NY

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Department: Laboratory / Research / Quality Control

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a degree in a scientific field who are eager to gain hands-on laboratory experience. The Lab Technician will support daily laboratory operations, assist with experiments, and ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards.

• Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols
• Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for analysis
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
• Record, analyze, and report data accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, GLP, GMP where applicable)
• Assist senior scientists or technicians with research projects and troubleshooting
• Inventory and restock laboratory supplies as needed
• Document procedures and maintain detailed lab notebooks or electronic records

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience (academic lab experience accepted)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety practices
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

• Internship or research experience in a laboratory setting
• Familiarity with common lab equipment (pipettes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, etc.)
• Exposure to regulatory environments (GLP, GMP, ISO)
• Experience with data entry or laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

• Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biological materials, or environmental samples
• May require standing for extended periods and lifting up to (X) pounds
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

This is a Permanent position based out of Congers, NY.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
