About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership. The COO will be responsible for translating the organization's strategy into coordinated plans, sound resource decisions, and effective institutional systems. This role requires a leader who can integrate various functions, including people, inclusion, culture, business intelligence, evaluation, research, and legal affairs. The successful candidate will be a senior organizational leader with a clear commitment to feminist principles, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and leadership from the Global South. They should have a strong background in a complex international nonprofit or mission-driven organization, with experience in financial stewardship, organizational sustainability, and a proven track record of leading change and fostering collective accountability. Key responsibilities for the COO at the company include executive leadership, organizational integration, financial stewardship, and connection with resource mobilization. The role demands a leader who is strategically minded, collaborative, and transparent, with the ability to work across multiple functions and institutional contexts. The COO will also be tasked with providing strategic leadership in people, inclusion, and culture, and ensuring that the organization's practices reflect feminist values, equity, and inclusion. Professional fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a diverse professional background, with no single pathway required, and should be prepared to make difficult decisions, hold colleagues accountable, and listen across differences.
