Director, Global Media and Strategic Response, Innovative Medicine

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director to lead global media strategy and strategic crisis response for the Innovative Medicine business. This hybrid role will manage earned media engagement, develop proactive communications on priority topics, and coordinate reputation-protection responses to complex issues across global markets.

Responsibilities

Lead proactive and reactive media engagement strategy for Innovative Medicine across global markets
Develop and maintain messaging, statements, and briefing materials on priority topics
Partner with enterprise and business teams to shape sector-level external engagement strategy
Coordinate cross-functional response to complex issues impacting company reputation
Manage team of 2-3 people and oversee media relations tools and vendor relationships

Requirements

Experience leading media relations and strategic communications teams
Expertise in crisis communication and reputation management
Strong understanding of regulatory and legal compliance in external communications
Track record managing complex, high-stakes media and stakeholder issues
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media and internal partners
Experience developing messaging frameworks and communication strategies
