You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident activity in accordance with site procedures. Maintain a professional presence while coordinating with site personnel and public service partners during routine operations and emergency situations. Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
