Job Title: Machine Maintenance Technician/Maintenance Location: 24200 Plymouth Rd, Redford Township, MI 48239 Job Schedule 5AM - 5PM, 12 hour shifts; rotates between Week 1 and Week 2 Week 1: works Mon & Tues, Fri, & Sat = 36 hours Week 2: works Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday = 48 hours About us MNP is an award-winning fastener manufacturer specializing in diameters from M3 to M24. Job Titles and Equipment Machine Maintenance Technician must possess excellent visual and verbal skills, and be able to work on and diagnose machinery effectively. Must be familiar with machinery parts, such as gauges, valves, pressure regulators, lathe, grinder, dill, and milling machine. Skills Required Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations Excellent trouble shooting skills Basic computer and report writing skills, good math skills Good communication skills Accountable; able to work without constant supervision. Learner - able to take instruction. Helper - able to give instruction; willing to help others. Physical Demands of the Position The work environment for this position is noisy, oily, fast paced and physically demanding. It involves standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks with exposure to oily conditions and dust, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and appropriate footwear. Must be able to lift 50 pounds Able to stand constantly for long periods of time Able to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch frequently Able to climb stairs or ladders, and balance occasionally Able to use hands and fingers to feel, reach, operate, place, remove, inspect, prepare continually Able to talk, hear, discuss, and communicate frequently Able to see, detect, recognize, inspect, observe, and assess continuallyAble to push, pull, move frequently Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Personal Protective Equipment Required Hearing protection, safety glasses, appropriate anti-slip foot protection (steel‑toed not required).
