As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.Description:The associate will support in the geometrical, functional, and buildability validation of current and future BMW vehicles.This position will allow the associate to grow their knowledge and hands on skills with vehicles through function and quality validation and testing.Additionally the associate will learn the value and role of customer relevancy topics and gain an understanding of targets, the process partner network, and the role of the vehicle validation department in the production of BMW vehicles.Support specialists with root cause analysis (RCA) and solution developmentIndependently complete analysis and quantitative/subjective evaluationsAssist in launching new Plant Spartanburg vehicles and optimizing integration processesGain in-depth knowledge and experience in new vehicle development and validationImplement the problem solving process for vehicle defects to improve overall qualityUnderstanding of how vehicle validation and integration integrates into Plant Spartanburg and the BMW GroupUnderstanding of the BMW defect severity rating scale and customer expectationsTechnical experience with total vehicles and part sub-assembliesUnderstanding of the standard vehicle validation processCommunication skills and experience working with teamsLeadership abilities through defect analysis and topic handshakesSpecialized skills and experience with analysis equipment and toolsAbility to plan, prioritize, and effectively manage tasksQualifications:Preferred majors- Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical EngineeringComputer Aided Design (CAD) experienceHands-on experienceCommunication skillsTime and task management skillsLeadership skills and experiencePossess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTComplete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th – May 14th, 2027.Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
