The hours for this shift are 5:30 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. For all benefits, check out: Eaton BenefitsSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:Eaton's Aerospace Group is currently recruiting for a Machinist III to set-up, adjust and operate a variety of machine tools such as engine lathes, mills, CNC Machine, CNC Lathes, drill presses and deburr experience.Perform operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring on a variety of work requiring a degree of skill while ensuring dimensional accuracy is maintainedCreate setups and operate CNC machine to a specific program as per part number and work instruction sheet via utilization of DNC (direct numerical control) link on computerWork from drawings and specifications using a variety of prevision measuring instrumentsRead and interoperate engineering drawings and have an understanding of Geometric ToleranceWork under general supervision; work is subject to progress and final inspectionInspect work after completed as well as complete all appropriate inspection paperworkSkilled on both lathes and Mill/Turn 5-AxisRotate to various types of machines in order to be competent in their operationPerform Lean Initiatives including Continuous ImprovementThe employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictatesComply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standardsPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionA minimum five (5) years' previous work experience as a MachinistMust have Lathe experience 2-3 axisNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Irvine will be considered.
