Assistant Supervisor, Manufacturing

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a manufacturing team leader to oversee approximately 30 direct reports in a regulated production environment. This first-shift role combines operational oversight with people leadership, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards while driving continuous improvement and maintaining safety and quality excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing team of approximately 30 direct reports
Coordinate department activities across shifts to meet production schedules and equipment efficiency
Ensure strict adherence to cGMP standards, quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production workflows across operations
Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and training, and analyze production metrics

Requirements

Advanced degree with 3+ years manufacturing operations experience, or bachelor's degree with 2+ years plus 1+ year leadership
Experience in GMP, ISO, or regulated manufacturing environment
Leadership experience managing teams of 15-25 people
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with quality systems, SOPs, and regulatory compliance
Physical ability to work in cleanroom and manufacturing floor environments

Compensation: $27.41–$40.00 hourly; eligible for variable annual bonus
