Position Details Position Information Position Title Senior Programmer Analyst FLSA Classification EX Reports to Director, Application Services Salary Range D Weeks Per Year 52 Work Week 40 hours (minimum) Position Summary Assumes responsibility for Providing high-quality customer technical consultation and support to Ellucian's Banner products such as Ethos, Banner Extensibility, Ellucian Experience, Banner Self Service, etc. Provides project management, leadership, needs assessment, integration services and the ability to develop a strong working relationship with the University community partners. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students. Hiring Range The budgeted starting salary for this position will be $83,409 to $100,000 dependent upon experience Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provides software troubleshooting and break/fix support up to full application development and spans many areas including applications, integrations, and reporting. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs; assists users in troubleshooting issues related to Banner modules within the Ellucian Banner product suite. Creates test plans and runs tests to find errors and confirms specifications have been met. Assists with the configuration and maintenance of Banner and related solutions. Preparing and submitting status reports as requested by manager and unit. Supports University users with extensions that satisfy the customer needs that does not come out of the box on Ellucian Products (non-baseline solutions). Interacts with the users and other third-party representatives to translate business requirements into functional specifications for conversions, reporting, interfaces, and customizations. Monitors, tracks, and reports project risks, issues, milestones, and work completed, as well as work that is underway. Provides leadership for the users enabling them to stay on time and on task. Facilitates business process review and application prototyping sessions as well as providing insight into best practice methodologies. Evaluates and modifies systems, where appropriate, relative to the university business practices. Drives university to innovative technology; provides university high-quality business process, change management and other appropriate documentation. Provides direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for use during upgrades, patch application and customizations. Works with the users to test and confirm modifications and/or updates meet specifications. Provides guidance in the development of user-training strategy, and when appropriate, delivers such training. Mentors and trains less experienced staff and review their work. Designs and writes reports using Argos against an operational data store. Performs other related duties as assigned. Posting Detail Information Posting Number
