Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license, Public Health License, and School Nurse License (issued by the Board of Teaching) — all required
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Experience in school nursing or public health preferred
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and move between different schools
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Main Responsibilities:

• Serve as an itinerant nurse, providing support to five schools within the district
• Develop and implement health care plans for students as needed
• Coordinate care with educators, school staff, families, and medical providers
• Conduct health screenings, manage acute and chronic health conditions, and maintain health records
• Promote a safe and healthy environment and participate in health education initiatives across campuses
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid and crisis intervention
• Ensure compliance with school policies, state and federal regulations

This position is a contract role scheduled from mid-August 2026 through late May 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week, exclusively onsite. You'll work closely with other dedicated school health professionals in a supportive environment where your expertise is valued.
