Customer Service Advocate II & III

Pay:

• CSA II: $18.00/hour

• CSA III: $19.00/hour

Location: Columbia, SC Onsite

Position Overview:
Our healthcare client is hiring Customer Service Advocates II and III to join their growing team. These positions are responsible for assisting members with questions related to healthcare benefits, coverage, services, and account information. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, solving problems, and providing professional and compassionate customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Answer member questions and provide assistance by phone and other communication channels

• Assist members with questions regarding healthcare benefits, coverage, and available services

• Research customer concerns and work to provide accurate and timely solutions

• Explain healthcare information, policies, procedures, and benefits clearly

• Access and update member information using multiple computer systems

• Accurately document customer interactions and account updates

• Identify issues that require additional assistance and escalate when appropriate

• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive member information

• Provide professional, courteous, and patient customer service

• Meet established quality, productivity, and customer service expectations

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service, call center, healthcare, insurance, or related experience preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent listening, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Comfortable using computers and navigating multiple systems

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information professionally

• Ability to remain calm and helpful when handling customer concerns

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

CSA III:
The Customer Service Advocate III role may handle more complex member inquiries, escalated issues, and situations requiring additional research and problem-solving. Candidates with additional healthcare, insurance, benefits, or customer service experience may be considered for the CSA III level.
