THE POSITION:

As a Renal Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for overall management of the patient & family regarding dialysis diet and Mineral & Bone Disease interventions.

• Manages Mineral & Bone Disorder program for assigned facility, follows protocols, processes orders, and schedules appropriate related lab orders in EMR and with Medical Secretaries.
• Participates in developing interdisciplinary Long-Term and Short-Term Care Plans for each patient.

• Collects and documents pertinent nutrition information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

• Evaluates and monitors patients for necessary supplemental nutrition and prepares necessary forms (certificate of medical necessity, prescriptions, prior authorizations)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
• Current State of Florida Department of Health Registered Dietitian Licensure
  • Attains the required 30 hour biannual requirement for continuing education.
• Dialysis Experience Preferred
