Job Description
Job Title: OR Registered Nurse

Profession: Registered Nurse

Shift: Day Shift

Hours per Shift: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM


Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty; 2-3 previous travel assignments; Ortho experience required.


License: Current Registered Nurse License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred

Must-Have: Experience passing instruments for Robotics; experience with all specialties; must be comfortable circulating cases; experience scrubbing is a plus.

Description:


The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work within a high-volume surgical environment.

The unit is equipped with 9 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.

An average of 35-45 cases are performed each day.

The typical surgical specialties include General, ENT, Orthopedics, Robotics, Neuro Spine, Trauma, and Vascular.

Emergency cases handled include appendicitis, stabbings, and cranial surgeries.


The RN will be required to participate in weekday and weekend call rotations.

One weeknight on-call shift is required per week.


The RN will also need to provide one weekend on-call shift of 24 hours each month.


Holiday on-call rotation as needed.


Responding to call must occur within 30 minutes.

Rotation through charge nurse responsibilities will be expected.


Floating to outpatient surgery may also be required.

Scrubs will be provided for the staff.


The unit relies mainly on travel staff to meet operational demands.


Candidates with minimal experience in specific service lines are encouraged to apply if willing to learn or receive refresher training.


This is an immediate start position for qualified candidates.
