Inventory Scanner

Ready to help get inventory scanned? Our client needs to scan all of their inventory in their Wilder, KY facility. They are seeking 4-6 people who will be on their feet, using RF Scan gun to scan the item and scan the inventory location number. It will require using a lift (like a cherry picker) to scan items on the second and third levels. Pay is $18/hr, 1st shift in Wilder KY. This project is expected to last four weeks and there may be follow-on work for the best candidates.

Core Responsibilities

• Scanning & Tracking: Scan barcodes/QR codes on incoming, outgoing, and relocated inventory to maintain real-time system accuracy.
• Location Management: Audit, record, and update bin, shelf, aisle, and pallet location tags within the warehouse or stockroom.
• Physical Audits: Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliations against system records.
• Discrepancy Reporting: Identify and report missing items, damaged stock, misplaced items, or labeling errors to supervisors.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Experience with RF barcode scanners, mobile computers (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell), and basic WMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Fishbowl).
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reading SKU numbers, batch/lot codes, and alphanumeric location codes.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (typically up to 3550 lbs), and navigate warehouse environments for full shifts.
• Basic Math & Literacy: Strong reading comprehension and basic numeric skills for counting and spot-checking stock.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent: Standard requirement for most warehouse and inventory entry-to-mid-level roles.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
